In early 2013, Alex Bratton, CEO of Lextech Global Services, passionately set out to write about his six step approach for successfully applying mobile strategy to everyday business processes. His dream was realized at last Thursday’s Billion Dollar Apps: How to Find and Implement a Winning Mobile Strategy book launch, hosted by TechNexus and the Illinois Technology Association (ITA) in Chicago’s Civic Opera Building.
TechNexus, an organization which offers a place for startup companies to incubate their ideas while receiving help and mentorship from others, used this moment to announce its new Innovation Networks Initiative which focuses on book publishing, events, and research. Close to 100 guests celebrated Billion Dollar Apps as the initiative’s premiere book. Individuals enjoyed quiet conversations while treating themselves to incredible food from Amazing Edibles and custom cocktails such as the Dark and Stormy and the Ben Franklin from the ITA Bar.
Terry Howerton, founding chairman of ITA, a trade organization serving nearly 700 tech companies throughout the Midwest, and TechNexus founder and CEO, welcomed everyone to the event. TechNexus managing director Jonathan Baskin introduced Alex subsequently. At this time, Alex took a moment to express his gratitude to all who supported him during this endeavor, especially his wife, Michelle, and business partners, Will Scott and Jim Argiropoulos. He continued with how thankful and proud he is to partner with TechNexus and the Illinois Technology Association and provided an overview of the Billion Dollar Apps process to all in attendance.
Billion Dollar Apps is a breakthrough publication filled with practical advice and real world examples of businesses that have benefitted from the BDA process. This explicit process helps businesses identify the mobile app concepts capable of producing the highest Return on App (ROA) in the least amount of time.
“Companies that follow Alex’s advice will find few limits to what they can accomplish,” states New York Times bestselling author, Craig Hickman. “Companies that ignore his advice will be extinct within the decade. Mobile matters now, and Alex shines a bright light on the path to success and sustainability.”
