The Vision
GTX Corp approached Lextech to turn its 2-way GPS personal location knowledge into a series of GPS enabled iPhone apps to expand the company’s product offerings to a mobile platform.
The Product
The first of several apps to come is LOCiMe, an app that uses the iPhone’s internal GPS to pinpoint the phone’s longitude, latitude, altitude, speed and bearing. The iPhone transmits your location data at user defined intervals to the GTX Personal Location Services (PLS) portal, enabling authorized users to log on and see where you are and where you have been in real time.
The Revenue
The LOCiMe roadmap is designed to work in conjunction with the GTX back end geospatial mapping system. The iPhone app will allow GTX to appeal to a mobility focused market, expanding their client base and generating new revenue.
