Surveillance Device Helps Deter Intruders
The Vision
Our customer created a surveillance device, but needed a remote control system to complete the product and start selling it to their customers.
The Product
The Lextech team created graphic user interface control software that operates on a ruggedized laptop with a popular game system controller.
The software controls motion, audio, and a spotlight, in addition to displaying video from on-board cameras. When a target is detected, a human operator uses the control system to illuminate the target with a laser and then turn on a spotlight or activate a loud sound as a non-lethal deterrent.
The Revenue
The software wrapped up the first version of the customer’s product, allowing them to demo the system around the country to federal, state, and local entities.
