Lextech is looking for energetic, technology savvy individuals to assist with our software/systems development projects. The engineer will help design and develop software systems in Java and PHP on a wide variety of platforms. This unique role is for the technical decathlete who is well versed at many different technologies and can readily apply them from a hands-on perspective.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Understand a customer’s requirements and big picture view of the system to be developed
- Perform detailed system designs ?–Develop quality software in multiple programming languages
- Quickly identify and track down system bugs
- Design and create databases
- Quickly learn new technologies (languages, operating systems, tools) and be productive with them
REQUIREMENTS
- 2+ years hands on software development in Java and PHP
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Broad range of technical expertise including C/C++, MySQL, other open source technologies, networks, servers (Linux/Windows), databases, multiple technology frameworks is a plus
- Systems level knowledge including scaling systems in multi-server environments, load testing, interfacing many disparate systems, fault tolerance & security is a plus
