Lextech is growing and we’re looking for a solid Core Java developer, ideally with iOS or Android experience. Please NOTE: This is NOT Web/J2EE development opportunity. This person must have CORE JAVA with STAND ALONE application development experience. We are looking for a hungry person who wants to leverage his/her Core Java skills into becoming a full-time iPhone/Android/Blackberry developer!

RESPONSIBILITIES

Think, design and then build (frequently used brain a must). Understand a customer’s requirements and big picture view of the system to be developed. Develop quality software in multiple programming languages and perform detailed system designs. Generate UML diagrams and quickly learn new technologies (concepts, tools, utilities) and be productive with them.

REQUIREMENTS

2+ years hands on software development in Java Solid Core Java development experience. Must have the desire to learn iOS and Android. This candidate must have good communication skills, both written and verbal. Any experience with network connectivity (http, raw sockets or otherwise) is welcome.

DESIRED SKILLS

• Objective-C and iPhone development
• Exposure to J2ME
• Built Java applications pulling data from multiple sources
• Systems level knowledge including scaling systems in multi-server environments, load testing, interfacing many disparate systems, fault tolerance and security is a plus.

• Linux/Unix/Mac OS X/Windows – install, configure & make the server dance
• Troubleshoot network issues affecting software systems
• Scale a system from one server to hundreds
• Ethical hacking certification
