Role and Responsibilities:

Lextech is looking for a customer focused engineer to support our mobile apps and internal desktop environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for learning new technologies, creating support processes and making sure everyone they interact with is being productive with the systems being supported. You need to be able to investigate issues independently and propose solutions.

Mobile App Support (50%)

  • Take responsibility for mobile apps developed for customers and become the expert on using and troubleshooting the app
  • Front line phone and email support of end customer internal support team
  • Troubleshoot customer reported issues for mobile apps, isolate repeatable cases and work with the software engineering team to resolve any problems
  • Propose app updates based on end user feedback to continue to refine apps

Desktop Support (50%)

  • Support the Lextech team — the whole team is depending on you to keep things running smoothly
  • Manage Mac OS X desktop/laptops, software and office network — ensure high uptime and availability of all resources
  • Create standard software loads using device management tools
  • Be the systems expert for all internal business systems
  • Manage Linux, OS X, Windows and other servers
  • Research and implement hardware, software and solutions for infrastructure, telecom and next generation collaboration technologies
  • Train new users on internally used technologies

Skills:

  • 3-5 years of hands on application technical support experience with complex systems and their applications
  • 3-5 years of hands on experience supporting a desktop and server environment
  • Strong experience using and/or managing iPhone, Android & Blackberry apps
  • Strong experience with MAC OS X
  • Strong client service focus
  • Posses positive, upbeat, customer service attitude

Nice to Haves:
Any exposure to one or the following:

  • Supporting mobile applications
  • Mobile apps as a heavy user or developer
  • Software development experience

And would love it if you had some of these too!

  • Linux/Unix/Mac OS X/Windows – install, configure & make the server dance
  • Troubleshoot network issues affecting software systems
  • Scale a system from one server to hundreds
  • Ethical hacking certification

Other Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Excellent written, documentation and communication skills
  • Ability to build and maintain strong interpersonal relationships
  • Ability to quickly learn new systems and work well in a team
